The International Dahlia Register officially places Bacardi in Group 5 – Decorative Dahlia, recording flowers approximately 13 cm across and stems around 80 cm tall.
The petals display warm pink-to-apricot coloring with deeper red margins and darker raspberry-burgundy reverses, while the center develops a rich dark-red tone that gives each bloom exceptional depth.

Growing in Kuwait

• For Kuwait conditions, Dahlia ‘Bacardi’ is best grown during the cooler growing season after extreme summer temperatures have declined.
• A practical planting period is: October to November
• Plant tubers approximately 10–15 cm deep, positioning the crown and growing eyes upward.
• Avoid excessive watering immediately after planting. Once shoots emerge and active roots develop, gradually increase watering while maintaining excellent drainage.
• Provide strong sunlight during the cooler months, with some protection from intense afternoon heat as temperatures rise toward the end of the season.
