Growing in Kuwait

• For Kuwait conditions, Dahlia ‘Candy Time’ is best grown during the cooler growing season once extreme summer temperatures have declined.
• A practical planting period is: October to November
• Plant the tuber approximately 8–10 cm deep, positioning it horizontally with the crown and growing eyes facing upward.
• Avoid excessive watering immediately after planting. Once shoots emerge and active root growth begins, gradually increase watering while maintaining excellent drainage.
• Provide good sunlight during the cooler months. As temperatures begin to rise toward the end of the season, some protection from intense afternoon sun can help reduce heat stress.
• Because plants typically grow around 100–110 cm tall, staking is recommended, particularly in windy locations or when growing for cut-flower production.
