Its velvety color can appear almost black in shaded light, while brighter conditions reveal the rich burgundy and crimson tones within the petals. Specialist growers describe this commercial cultivar as one of the darkest burgundy dahlias available.

Growing in Kuwait

For Kuwait conditions, Dahlia ‘Dark Destiny’ is best grown during the cooler growing season once extreme summer temperatures have declined.
A practical planting period is: October to November
Plant tubers approximately 5–10 cm deep, positioning the crown and growing eyes upward.
Avoid excessive watering immediately after planting. Once active shoots and roots develop, gradually increase watering while maintaining excellent drainage.
Provide strong sunlight during the cooler months, with some protection from intense afternoon heat as temperatures rise toward the end of the season.
Because plants can reach around 90–110 cm tall, staking or plant support is recommended.
