Dahlia ‘Davina Michelle’ is a striking modern Decorative Dahlia prized for its dramatic color gradient and beautifully formed, fully double blooms.
The flowers develop an exceptionally rich color transition, beginning with a very dark wine-red to burgundy center that can appear almost black, blending outward through deep raspberry and purplish-red tones, and finishing with brighter violet to soft lilac tips.
The International Dahlia Register officially records the cultivar within Group 5 – Decorative, with blooms reaching approximately 11 cm across and purple stems up to approximately 110 cm tall.

Growing in Kuwait

• For Kuwait conditions, Dahlia ‘Davina Michelle’ is best grown during the cooler growing season once extreme summer temperatures have declined.
• A practical planting period is: October to November
• Plant tubers approximately 10 cm deep, with the crown and growing eyes facing upward. In particularly light, free-draining soil, planting within a 10–15 cm range can also be suitable.
• Avoid excessive watering before active growth begins. Once shoots and roots develop, gradually increase watering while maintaining excellent drainage.
• Provide good sunlight during the cooler months, with some protection from intense afternoon heat as temperatures rise toward the end of the season.
• Because plants normally reach around 110 cm and may grow taller under strong conditions, staking is recommended.
