Growing Big Beef F1 in Kuwait

  • Recommended planting period: October to January, with October–December generally providing the strongest start.
Sunlight: Provide 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily during the cooler months.
Spacing: Allow approximately 60–75 cm between plants for airflow and healthy growth.
Container growing: Use a container of at least 40–50 litres per plant; a larger container is preferable.
Support: Install a strong cage or trellis at planting time because the plant becomes tall and carries heavy fruit.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Irregular watering may encourage fruit cracking or blossom-end rot.
Soil: Plant in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with mature compost.
Feeding: Apply a balanced tomato fertilizer, reducing excessive nitrogen once flowering begins.
Summer protection: This variety is best grown during Kuwait’s cooler season. Fruit set and quality may decline during extreme summer heat.
