  • Bolstar Baloe F1 is a vigorous organic mini plum tomato developed for professional organic cultivation. It produces attractive single and double trusses arranged in a distinctive herringbone pattern.
  • The bright red fruits weigh approximately 21 g and offer a sweet flavor, firm texture and satisfying bite. They also hold well on the plant and can be harvested individually or as complete trusses. The vigorous vines continue producing new trusses throughout suitable growing conditions and require tall, sturdy support.

Disease Resistance

  • High Resistance (HR):
  • Ff:A–E: Tomato leaf mold, races A–E
  • Fol:0,1: Fusarium wilt, races 0 and 1
  • Resistance reduces risk but does not make the plant immune. Good airflow, sanitation and crop rotation remain essential.

Growing in Kuwait

  • Transplant outdoors from October through January.
  • Provide at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight.
  • Grow in fertile, well-draining soil enriched with mature compost.
  • Use a container of at least 35–40 liters when not planting in the ground.
  • Install a trellis or support capable of carrying vines up to 2.5 m.
  • Train to one or two main stems and remove unwanted side shoots regularly.
  • Maintain consistent moisture to support fruit quality and reduce cracking.
  • Retain enough foliage to protect fruits from sunscald as temperatures rise.
  • Harvest frequently when the fruits become uniformly bright red.
  • Do not interpret the breeder’s “summer cultivation” recommendation as extreme-heat tolerance: it refers to European greenhouse conditions, not Kuwait’s summer temperatures.
