Growing in Kuwait
- For Kuwait conditions, Dahlia ‘Invitation’ is best grown during the cooler growing season, once extreme summer temperatures have declined.
- A practical outdoor growing period is from October onward, depending on actual temperatures.
- Place the plant in a location with good sunlight during the cooler months. As temperatures begin to rise toward the end of the season, some protection from intense afternoon sun can help reduce heat stress.
- Grow in fertile, well-drained soil and water regularly, allowing the upper layer of soil to begin drying slightly between waterings. Avoid keeping the root zone constantly saturated.
- Transplanting from pot, move the plant carefully without disturbing the root ball excessively, and water thoroughly after transplanting.
- Because plants typically reach around 90–100 cm tall, light staking is recommended to support the stems and protect them from wind or the weight of the flowers.
- Regular removal of faded blooms will encourage continued flowering throughout the growing season.
