Grow Uniform Rosy Pink Cut Flowers with Campanula Champion II Rose Pelleted (F1) Seeds

Campanula Champion II Rose Pelleted (F1) is a uniform and productive cut flower variety, offering a bountiful crop of beautiful blooms. These conventional seeds are provided with a conventional pelleting for easier handling and sowing. Campanula adds valuable structure, bulk, and visual interest to bouquets with its sturdy stems and abundant flowers. The medium-dark, rosy pink bells of Champion II Rose are a few shades deeper than the Champion Pink variety. The Champion Series is specifically bred for upright-facing blooms and uniform plant growth, ensuring consistent quality for cut flower production. With early sowing, plants can produce flowers in their first year.

Bred for Upright Blooms and Uniformity

Campanula Champion II Rose Pelleted (F1) boasts medium-dark, rosy pink bell-shaped flowers that face upwards, making them ideal for bouquets. The uniform growth habit of the Champion Series ensures a consistent stem length and flowering time, which is crucial for efficient cut flower farming. These sturdy stems provide excellent support and contribute to the overall vase life of the cut flowers.

Specific Sowing and Growing Requirements

Sowing Instructions: Transplanting is highly recommended. Sow the Campanula Champion II Rose Pelleted (F1) into your preferred seedling container 6-8 weeks before your intended planting-out date. Light is required for germination; however, applying a fine layer of vermiculite or growing media on top of the seed will help maintain moisture levels needed for germination and aid in dissolving the pellet coating. Bottom water or mist lightly to avoid displacing seeds and soil. Direct seeding is not recommended for this variety. Please note that this variety is day length sensitive and requires short days during seedling development to ensure sufficient stem length and vegetative growth before flowering under long days.

Growing Instructions: Choose a location with full sun, although part shade is tolerated. The soil should be well-drained and high in organic matter, with an ideal pH range of 5.8-6.2. For single-stem cuts, plant with a spacing of 4-6 inches. For multi-stem or well-branched plants, a spacing of 10-12 inches is recommended. Support is generally advised for this variety. Single-stem production is quicker and often preferred for greenhouse cultivation, while multi-stem production may be more suitable for outdoor growing. Expect yields of 8-10 stems per plant.
