Coreopsis Hybrid Incredible Dwarf-Mix
1,950 KWD
Coreopsis Hybrid Incredible Dwarf-Mix, Coreopsis x hybrida is the result of years of breeding work — delicate flowers in an astonishing range of colors seem to float above airy clumps of foliage. This vibrant dwarf tickseed has a neat, bushy habit perfectly suited to growing in drifts throughout borders or for edging beds with long-lasting color. An easy to grow annual that makes a lovely cut flower too. Colors include buttercream, ruby, gold, rose pink, and white with dark maroon center blotches — a wider and softer palette, with conventional open daisy-form blooms that complement the classic coreopsis aesthetic while offering a color range not seen in standard, yellow-flowered species.

Coreopsis Hybrid Incredible Dwarf -Mix Seeds
(Coreopsis x hybrida — Incredible Series)
Coreopsis Hybrid Incredible Dwarf -Mix Coreopsis x hybrida belongs to the same Incredible series as the Sea Shells Mix, sharing the same series background of intensive hybrid breeding that delivered the full range of non-standard coreopsis colors — burgundy, cream, ruby, rose pink, and white — not found in the yellow and orange tones of wild-type Coreopsis species. Intensive breeding of the ever-popular Coreopsis has given us this favorite series in a brilliant range of not-seen-before colors — a lovely mixture of bicolor in very dark red with cream or yellow. Fast growing and very easy — an unusual addition to the border.
Incredible Dwarf Mix expresses the full Incredible color range in a more conventional open daisy form — the standard single–petalled Coreopsis bloom shape that most gardeners recognize, but in colors far removed from the familiar yellow. Colors include buttercream, ruby, gold, rose pink, and white with dark maroon center blotches — plants are abundant with these medium-height daisy-like flowers that attract butterflies. Flowers in a stunning range of yellow, white, pink, and mahogany seem to float above clumps of lush green foliage — a stunning border and cut flower.
This dainty and delightful dwarf variety features a gorgeous array of sunset colors on compact and tidy plants that reach about 40–50 cm tall and about as wide — a cottage garden accent or border plant that also performs well in pots, raised beds, and meadows. Versatile and irresistible to pollinators.
For the Kuwait grower: Dwarf Mix produces more flowers per stem — the open daisy form is simpler in structure, and each plant produces stems in greater quantity.

Germination Instructions
- Sow coreopsis on the surface of a good seed compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite.
- Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 20–25°C or seal inside a polythene bag.
- Keep the soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light as this aid’s germination, which usually takes 21–30 days.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors.
- Transplant outdoors in full sun in any well-drained soil at a distance of 30 cm apart.
- For Kuwait: surface sow directly outdoors in October–November or start indoors in September in air-conditioned conditions.
- Kuwait’s warm October soil temperature ensures reliable germination within 21–30 days without cold treatment or special setup.
- The slightly longer germination time of 21–30 days — plan the October sowing accordingly to ensure plants are well established before peak flowering in November–December.
Growing Tips
- Growing requirements identical to all Coreopsis x hybrida Incredible series varieties.
- Grow in full sun in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
- Water consistently during establishment then reduce — drought tolerant once well rooted. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming throughout the season.
- After the first flush of bloom, cut plants back by one third to promote a second full flowering.
- Do not over-fertilize — high nitrogen produces floppy stems and reduces flower production.
- A balanced liquid fertilizer can be applied if soil conditions are less fertile.
- The compact 50 cm habit requires no staking in sheltered positions — in exposed windy positions provide light support.
- Allow some seed heads to ripen and self-sow at the end of the season.
Gulf Planting Season
- Direct sowing outdoors: October to November
- Indoor sowing: September, transplant October
- Peak flowering season: November to March
- Extended season: continues into April–May
- Note: Identical seasonal guidance to all Coreopsis Incredible series varieties in this catalogue.
- Direct sowing in October across raised beds, border fronts, and container surfaces is the most practical and effective method for Kuwait — the open daisy flower form of Incredible Dwarf Mix is most effective when planted in generous drifts of 5–10 plants minimum where the color variation within the mix creates a natural patchwork of buttercream, ruby, gold, rose pink, and white.
- Single plants do not express the full character of an open-pollinated mix — the variety is at its best when the full range of colors is represented simultaneously across a planting.
Garden & Floral Uses
- Incredible Dwarf Mix has a neat, bushy habit perfectly suited to growing in drifts throughout borders or for edging beds with long-lasting color — an easy to grow annual that makes a lovely cut flower too.
- A cottage garden accent or border plant, it also performs well in pots, raised beds, and meadows.
- The wide color range of Incredible Dwarf Mix — spanning from pale buttercream through rose pink to deep ruby with mahogany centers — gives it greater versatility in mixed arrangements than Sea Shells Mix.
- The pale buttercream and white varieties within the mix are particularly useful as contrast elements in mixed bouquets, providing visual relief alongside the deeper ruby and mahogany tones in the same bunch.
- In the garden, the airy, floating appearance of the small daisy-form blooms on their wiry stems creates a naturalistic meadow effect that works well in both formal border drifts and informal wildflower-style plantings.
- Combined with all three Incredible series and SunKiss varieties in the same bed, Incredible Dwarf Mix provides the fullest possible expression of the coreopsis color palette — from bold golden-yellow with burgundy centers through every intermediate tone to the softer pastels of cream and pale pink.
