Growing Information:

Sowing: Lisianthus seeds are small and require light for germination. Sow pelleted seeds on the surface of a moist, well-draining seed starting mix, gently pressing them in but do not cover. Maintain a consistent temperature of 68-72°F (20-22°C) and high humidity. Light is crucial for germination, which typically takes 10-15 days. A thin layer of fine vermiculite can help maintain moisture and prevent algae growth without blocking light. Greenhouse production is highly recommended for optimal results.

Transplanting: Once seedlings have developed a few sets of true leaves, carefully transplant them into individual pots. Continue to grow them in bright, indirect light until they are ready to be transplanted outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.

Growing Conditions: Lisianthus thrives in full sun (at least 6 hours daily) and prefers fertile, well-drained soil high in organic matter. Space plants 4-8 inches apart. Provide support for taller stems. Consistent watering is important, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging.
