Growing Information

Sowing Indoors: Sow seeds in trays or pots with warm seed compost, 3mm (1/8 inch) deep, and 2.5cm (1 inch) apart. Pansies require darkness for germination, so cover the trays but check daily and water if needed. Germination typically takes up to 21 days. Thin plants at the 4-leaf stage, spacing them 7.5-10cm (3-4 inches) apart. Harden off the seedlings before planting them outdoors.

Planting Out: Transplant the hardened-off seedlings into rich soil that has been amended with organic mulch. Water the plants well after transplanting.
