Pentas lanceolata BeeBright Mix Seeds
(Egyptian Starflower)
Pentas lanceolata BeeBright Mix is part of the BeeBright series, an F1 hybrid Pentas bred by Syngenta Flowers and recognized as one of the fastest-finishing and most compact Pentas series commercially available. BeeBright consistently finishes seven days faster than comparable Pentas series, making it particularly valuable for professional production and retail display.
BeeBright Mix brings together all five series colors in one balanced planting: Lipstick (hot pink), Pink, Red, Violet, and White. Each color delivers the same compact mounded plant height, uniform cluster size, and simultaneous bloom timing that makes BeeBright a benchmark in the Pentas category.
Pentas lanceolata is commonly known as Egyptian Starflower. Each individual flower is a small, precise five-pointed star, and these stars are produced in rounded clusters held just above the dense, low foliage mounds. The BeeBright series is exceptionally well branched with fast secondary flowering, meaning that after each round of clusters finishes, new branching and fresh flower heads form rapidly and continuously throughout the season, providing near-uninterrupted color.
BeeBright Mix plants stay genuinely compact at 15–20 cm height with a spread of 25–30 cm, making them one of the shortest Pentas selections available. This compact habit makes BeeBright Mix ideal for mixed container arrangements where plants must fill their space without overgrowing their neighbors, for front-of-border edging, and for smaller retail pots and packs.
Pentas lanceolata BeeBright thrives in full sun to partial shade and is exceptionally heat tolerant. It performs outstandingly in Gulf conditions year-round. As a day-neutral plant, BeeBright flowers regardless of day length, making it suitable for continuous Gulf cultivation throughout all seasons. BeeBright is also one of the most effective butterfly, bee, and hummingbird attracting plants available in the annual category.

- Place in a warm, bright location at 20–25°C and maintain consistent moisture.

- Space plants 20–25 cm apart in a sunny to lightly shaded, well-drained position.
- BeeBright Mix thrives in heat and full sun and is an excellent performer in Gulf summers and winters.
- Monitor soil pH carefully as Pentas is sensitive to iron toxicity below pH 5.5 and micronutrient deficiency at higher pH level
- Feed every two to three weeks with a balanced flowering fertilizer.
- Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings to support healthy root development.
- Deadhead spent flower clusters to encourage faster repeat blooming.
- No pinching is required — the naturally compact and well-branched habit of BeeBright maintains itself throughout the season.
