Also known as Black-Eyed Susan and Gloriosa Daisy, this Rudbeckia Hirta Indian Summer is a true garden favorite.

Massive Blooms and Robust Growth

Prepare for a profusion of enormous golden flowers that will command attention in your beds, pots, borders, or even wild and cottage gardens. The robust branching habit ensures an abundance of these impressive blooms throughout the flowering season. The strong stems provide excellent support, eliminating the need for staking and simplifying maintenance.

Easy to Grow and Versatile

Rudbeckia Hirta Indian Summer is celebrated for its ease of growth and adaptability. It thrives in full sun and prefers average, well-drained soil, but will also tolerate poor soil conditions. Once established, it exhibits excellent heat and drought tolerance. For optimal germination, transplanting is recommended: sow seeds into plug flats 5-7 weeks before planting out, covering them very lightly as light is needed for germination. Bottom water or mist to avoid covering the seeds. Direct sowing is also possible with a very light covering of the seeds. Pinching is not required, and this variety will readily reseed. It makes an excellent cut flower, bringing its sunny exuberance indoors. Plant in a sunny location with 12-18″ spacing to allow for its vigorous growth.
