Experience the award-winning beauty of Snapdragon DoubleShot Orange Bicolor, an All-America Selections Winner for 2023.

This F1 hybrid snapdragon (*Antirrhinum majus*) produces exquisite, ruffled and romantic double blooms, 1 to 2 inches in size, in a truly captivating orange and white bicolor combination with a subtle gradient and a unique dusty finish. Bred for resilience, it features strong stems, good frost tolerance (Zones 7-10), and the ability to bloom through high temperatures and lower light, offering months of vibrant colour, typically from fall to spring in ideal conditions.

The tall, sturdy stems are wind-resistant and make exceptional, long-lasting cut flowers, while also attracting delightful butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. This snapdragon has an upright, bushy habit with glossy dark green, lance-shaped leaves and freely branches to produce successive flower spikes throughout the growing season.

Easy to grow from seed in sunny locations with moist, organically rich, well-drained soil. Pinching young plants encourages bushier growth, and regular deadheading promotes continuous flowering.

To get a head start, sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your desired outdoor planting time. Gradually acclimatize seedlings to outdoor conditions over a week to ten days before transplanting.

Germination Tips: Needs light to germinate. do not cover with soil or other planting medium, 68-75 degrees Fahrenheit.

While the traditional planting time is after the last frost, consider starting seeds now for potential fall and winter blooms, aligning with its typical flowering period. Ensure a sunny location and well-prepared soil for best results.
