Dahlia Hapet Marmony: A Vibrant Tricolor Tuber

Create a warm and vibrant display with the Dahlia Hapet Marmony tuber. This tidy, upright bush grows to a height of 100 cm with a spread of approximately 40 cm. Its branching, hollow stems hold fully-double blooms, 10–11 cm across, with a unique tricolor pattern on every petal. A warm yellow heart flares into a scarlet-orange band and finishes with neat white tips, creating a dynamic and eye-catching effect. This dahlia is a stunning focal point for mid-border colour accents or for creating beautiful “sunset” themed beds.

Dahlia Hapet Marmony is an excellent choice for long-lasting winter bouquets, with stems lasting 7–9 days in a vase. The vibrant colours add instant warmth and character to any arrangement. With consistent dead-heading and maintenance, you can expect to enjoy around 80 of these beautiful tricolor flowers per plant throughout the long flowering season from late November through March.

Planting & Care Guide

  • Light: Full sun ≥ 4 h; provide 30% shade-cloth if temperatures rise above 40°C during establishment.
  • Soil: Deep, fertile, perfectly drained; mix 5 L of mature compost and ½ cup of crab-&-lobster shell meal per hole.
  • Depth & spacing: Plant tuber 10 cm deep, 45 cm apart; insert a stake at planting.
  • Water: After shoots appear, deep-soak every 3–4 days; let the top 3 cm of soil dry between irrigations.
  • Feed (Fertilizing): Monthly low-nitrogen organic bloom fertiliser (~3-6-4) until late February, then stop.
  • Maintenance: Pinch at 30 cm for extra branches; dead-head or pick blooms promptly to expect ~80 vibrant tricolour flowers.
