- ‘Muncher’ is a productive, open-pollinated cucumber valued for its smooth, thin skin, crisp texture and mild, non-bitter flavor.
- The nearly spineless fruits can be harvested young at approximately 10–15 cm for pickling or allowed to reach 15–23 cm for fresh slicing. The tender skin does not normally require peeling, making the fruits excellent for snacks, salads and sandwiches.
- The vigorous vines perform particularly well when trained vertically on a trellis, which improves airflow and produces cleaner, straighter fruits.
