  • TriTunia™ Purple Star is a striking large-flowered petunia producing rich purple blooms marked with a bright white star extending from the center toward the petals. The pattern varies naturally from one flower to another, giving every bloom a slightly different appearance.
  • The plant develops a compact, well-branched mound rather than a long trailing habit. It is ideal for individual pots, mixed containers, flower beds and colorful winter displays. The TriTunia series was selected for early, uniform flowering, particularly during the shorter days of winter and early spring.

Growing in Kuwait

  • – Transplant outdoors from October through February.
  • – Provide at least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight for abundant flowering.
  • – During warmer weather, morning sun with protection from harsh afternoon sunlight is preferable.
  • – Plant in a fertile, lightweight and well-drained potting mixture.
  • – Water when the upper layer of soil begins to dry.
  • – Avoid continually wet soil and do not leave the pot standing in water.
  • – Water close to the soil rather than repeatedly soaking the flowers and foliage.
  • – Feed every 10–14 days with a diluted fertilizer formulated for flowering plants.
  • – Remove faded blooms and developing seed capsules to support continued flowering.- Trim overly long stems lightly if the plant begins to lose its compact shape.
    Flower Pattern
  • Each flower can display a slightly different white-star pattern. Some blooms may have broad white sections, while others may show narrower or less symmetrical markings. This natural variation is one of the variety’s attractive features and should not be considered a defect.
    Container Growing
  • – One plant is suitable for a pot approximately 15–20 cm wide.
  • – Use multiple plants for larger containers while allowing approximately 25–30 cm between plants.
  • – Ensure that every container has unrestricted drainage.
  • – Although suitable for window boxes and container edges, TriTunia Purple Star is mounding rather than strongly trailing.
