  • Strawberry ‘Delizzimo’ F1 is a productive everbearing strawberry developed for excellent flavour and an extended harvesting season. The vigorous plants produce attractive white flowers followed by medium-to-large, deep-red strawberries with a sweet taste and pronounced aroma.
  • Its open growth habit allows light and air to reach the developing fruit, while its continuous flowering habit supports repeated harvests when temperatures remain favourable. ‘Delizzimo’ can be grown in containers, raised beds or protected growing systems and may produce fruit in its first year when raised early from seed.

Growing in Kuwait

  • Grow ‘Delizzimo’ outdoors during Kuwait’s cool season, preferably from October through early spring. Provide at least six hours of direct sunlight during winter. When daytime temperatures begin rising, give the plant morning sun and protection from intense afternoon heat.
  • Plant with the crown level with the soil surface. Burying the crown can cause rot, while leaving the upper roots exposed may cause them to dry out. Use a fertile but freely draining growing medium and maintain even moisture without keeping the roots constantly saturated.
  • Feed lightly and regularly once the plant is established. Excess nitrogen should be avoided because it can encourage excessive leaf growth at the expense of flowers and fruit. Remove old leaves and damaged fruit to improve airflow.
  • Flowers grown inside an insect-screened greenhouse may require hand-pollination. Gently brushing across the flowers can help produce more evenly shaped berries.
