  • Strawberry ‘Estavana’ F1 is a vigorous, high-yielding everbearing strawberry developed for producing attractive, firm and flavourful fruit over an extended harvest period.
  • The plant combines compact growth with strong vigor, making it suitable for productive containers, raised beds and protected growing systems. Long flower trusses hold the flowers and developing strawberries away from the center of the plant, improving fruit visibility and making harvesting easier.
  • ‘Estavana’ produces large, attractive strawberries with firm yet juicy flesh and good post-harvest life. These characteristics make it particularly valuable for gardeners who want fruit that can be harvested, handled and stored more easily than softer ornamental strawberry varieties.

Growing Strawberry ‘Estavana’ F1 in Kuwait

  • Grow ‘Estavana’ outdoors during Kuwait’s cooler agricultural season. Transplant seedlings from late September or October through February, once extreme summer temperatures have declined.
  • Provide approximately 6–8 hours of direct sunlight during winter. As temperatures rise in spring, morning sun with afternoon shade will help protect flowers and developing fruit.
  • Plant in fertile, well-drained growing media with the crown level with the soil surface. Never bury the crown, as continuously wet conditions around it can cause crown rot.
  • Keep the growing medium evenly moist during flowering and fruit development. Irregular watering can reduce fruit size and may cause poorly developed or misshapen strawberries. However, permanently saturated soil will damage the roots.
  • For container cultivation, provide at least 5–8 liters of growing medium per plant, using a pot approximately 25–30 cm wide. Larger containers offer more stable moisture and root temperatures under Kuwait conditions.
  • Apply a balanced fertilizer during establishment. Once flower trusses appear, use a complete fruiting fertilizer containing adequate potassium, calcium and micronutrients. Avoid excessive nitrogen because it can produce lush foliage while reducing flowering and fruit firmness.
  • Long fruit trusses may extend beyond the plant’s foliage. In containers, allow them to hang over the edge or support them so the strawberries do not rest on wet soil.
