  • Strawberry ‘Milan’ F1 is a vigorous, everbearing strawberry bred for reliable outdoor fruit production. It develops a strong root system and robust foliage capable of supporting repeated flowering and harvesting throughout a suitable growing season.
  • This is primarily a productive strawberry rather than an ornamental pink-flowered variety. It produces traditional white strawberry flowers followed by red fruit with good eating quality and useful post-harvest life.
  • ‘Milan’ is particularly suitable for raised beds, productive containers and home fruit gardens. Its vigorous growth makes it a good choice for customers seeking repeated harvests rather than a compact decorative straw

Growing Strawberry ‘Milan’ F1 in Kuwait

  • Grow ‘Milan’ during Kuwait’s cooler agricultural season. Transplant seedlings outdoors from late September or October through February, once extreme summer temperatures have subsided.
  • Provide approximately 6–8 hours of sunlight during winter. Morning sun with afternoon protection becomes preferable as temperatures rise toward spring.
  • Plant in fertile, well-drained growing media, positioning the crown level with the soil surface. Do not bury the crown, as this can cause crown rot. Maintain even moisture during flowering and fruit formation without leaving the roots waterlogged.
  • Because ‘Milan’ is vigorous and forms a substantial root system, use a pot at least 25–30 cm wide and approximately 5–8 liters in volume for each plant. Raised beds or larger containers will provide more stable root temperatures and moisture than small decorative pots.
  • Apply a balanced fertilizer during establishment. Once flower buds develop, change to a complete fruiting fertilizer containing sufficient potassium, calcium and micronutrients. Avoid excessive nitrogen, as this can produce oversized foliage while delaying or reducing fruiting.
