Growing in Kuwait
- Transplant outdoors from October through December for the best fruit set.
- Provide at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight.
- Grow in fertile, well-draining soil enriched with mature compost.
- Use a container of at least 40–50 litres if not planting in the ground.
- Install a strong cage or trellis at transplanting.
- Maintain consistent soil moisture to reduce cracking and blossom-end rot.
- Train to two or three main stems if improved airflow and easier management are desired.
- Avoid excessive nitrogen, which promotes leaves instead of fruit.
- Retain enough foliage to protect the dark fruits from sunscald.
- Harvest when the fruit softens slightly and develops its characteristic dusky rose-purple color; green shoulders can remain even when fully ripe.
