Dahlia ‘Babylon Brons’ – Apricot-Bronze Dinnerplate Dahlia Plant

Its flowers display a sophisticated blend of warm apricot, bronze and soft orange tones, often enhanced by occasional pink or salmon highlights. The color tends to deepen toward the center, creating a beautifully dimensional effect. RHS describes the blooms as apricot with darker coloring toward the center, while specialist growers also record bronze, orange and pink tones.

Growing in Kuwait

  • For Kuwait conditions, Dahlia ‘Babylon Brons’ is best grown during the cooler growing season, once extreme summer temperatures have declined.
  • A practical outdoor growing period is from October onward, depending on actual temperatures.
  • Place the plant in a location with good sunlight during the cooler months. As temperatures begin to rise toward the end of the season, some protection from intense afternoon sun can help reduce heat stress.
  • Grow in fertile, well-drained soil and water regularly, allowing the upper layer of soil to begin drying slightly between waterings. Avoid keeping the root zone constantly saturated.
  • Transplanting from pot, move the plant carefully without disturbing the root ball excessively, and water thoroughly after transplanting.
  • Because plants typically reach around 90–100 cm tall, light staking is recommended to support the stems and protect them from wind or the weight of the flowers.
  • Regular removal of faded blooms will encourage continued flowering throughout the growing season.
